IMG_1883With a 4 star grading, The Larches is a great place to stay (and return to) as many of our visitors have reported in the Guest Book. It’s spacious, convenient, comfortable and homely with excellent facilities throughout.

Whether you are looking to do local fell walks, love climbing or fell-running, are interested in wildlife, keen on mountain bike trails, an avid festival & theatre goer, want to read books in a sunny garden or just enjoy the changing landscape from the Lakeland Belvedere, The Larches will make an ideal base for your stay. It’s great value too for families and children, who love looking out for squirrels and doing our Wildlife Quiz.

The cottage is available for letting through Cumbrian Cottages. The website provides details of the cottage and availability, allowing booking to be done online. Additionally you can phone the reservations section for particular enquiries (Tel: 01228 599960.)

The cottage is about three miles from Keswick. Follow the A66 and after turns to Braithwaite take the left turn to Thornthwaite. Follow the signs to the Thornthwaite Gallery and the cottage is 200 yards beyond on the right. There is a telephone (017687 78554) at The Larches, where you can receive incoming calls, but cannot make outgoing calls.
